The railroad bridge between woodland lakes and Seabrook Island has significant deterioration of the pylons and other support structures from erosion and due to time and unseen failure's of pylon safeguards. The concrete that wraps around the footing pylons on several has cracked or busted off and exposed to what underneath which as well as eroded. Seems like most of this has been in since the 1950s but possibly longer. Since this railroad carries several hazardous materials, some of which are Marine pollutants and the fact that it goes over a small River and marshland we should take steps to have this inspected and repaired before eminent failure. It would be a very devastating event for the community and the wildlife in an area where we prize our coastal features. As well as Marine pollutant but corrosive and flammable materials as well ride this rail daily. Having prior knowledge of the chemicals on the train is why I have brought this to your attention.
