The Amateur Radio Emergency Service® (ARES) consists of licensed amateurs who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment, with their local ARES leadership, for communications duty in the public service when disaster strikes.
If you are looking for a public radio club in the Hinesville / Liberty County Area, please visit the Hinesville Amateur Radio Emergency Society's Facebook page for more information. Membership in the HARES club is open to any licensed amateur radio operator and they meet on the second Thursday of every month.
This club and it's related call sign(s) and the use thereof are managed by the Director of Liberty County Information Technology, or their designee. This club call sign(s) are for use by Liberty County Georgia during emergency operations and upon activation of the Emergency Operations Center.
Membership in this club is for State Certified ARES members and Liberty County Emergency Operations Center staff.
