Code Enforcement

Since Liberty County's establishment in 1777, we have grown in not only population, but also in our commitment to serve our residents. Part of our mission as a county government is to provide the highest quality of life to our residents, businesses and visitors. The community and environment we live in affect our quality of life as much as individual efforts. Our Liberty County Code Enforcement Officer strives each day to improve our community to help accomplish that mission. While some view code enforcement as an annoying intrusion, others see it for what it is... an important function of local government to enforce laws and codes that make our community better. Nuisance laws and property maintenance codes are a large part of that focus for Code Enforcement Officers.

Some of the code violations we receive complaints on are neglected properties, unenclosed junk and litter, inoperable vehicles, illegal placement of campers, building without a permit and operating a business without a license.

If you have any questions, please contact our Code Enforcement Officer at (912) 876-8454 or haley.louth@libertycountyga.com
Below is an ordinance violation form that you may also submit to our office and code enforcement will investigate.
