Weddings

If you would like to have your wedding ceremony performed by a Magistrate Judge you can either come into the Liberty County Magistrate Court located in the Liberty County Justice Center, 201 South Main Street, Suite 2100, Hinesville, Georgia, or you can call our office at 912-368-2063 to schedule an appointment. 

Wedding ceremonies performed in our office are generally scheduled, by appointment only, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 4:00 pm, schedule permitting; these wedding ceremonies are performed at no cost to you.

If you need to schedule your wedding ceremony outside of the regularly scheduled days and times or would like your wedding ceremony performed somewhere other than The Magistrate Court you may contact Judge Melinda Anderson, Chief Magistrate, directly at 912-977-1244 or 912-876-5447.  Judge Anderson will discuss the cost of the wedding ceremony upon inquiry.

Wedding parties are asked to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for their ceremony with their marriage license in hand.  Witnesses are not required to attend but wedding parties are more than welcome to invite family and friends.

A marriage license from any County in the State of Georgia is required for the wedding ceremony.  For information on what is needed to obtain a marriage license please contact any Probate Court within the State of Georgia.  The Liberty County Probate Court is located in the Liberty County Justice Center, 201 South Main Street, Suite 2200, Hinesville, Georgia  31313; their telephone number is 912-876-3635.

Note:  Wedding ceremonies are normally held in our conference room, which can accommodate up to 15 guests.  If you plan to have more than 15 guests in attendance for your wedding please notify us when you schedule your appointment so that we can schedule accordingly. Thank you.
