Welcome to the Liberty County Water Services

Overview

Liberty County’s rural water system was established in 2015 and serves approximately 434 residents with clean affordable drinking water.  This water project was funded solely through a loan from USDA, SPLOST and CDBG funds. The water system is designed to pay for itself through user fees and is not taxpayer funded.

The Liberty County Water Service Delivery Service Area is generally described as an area covering Holmestown Road, Holmestown Loop Road, Highway 84 to Bill Carter Road, and Lewis Frasier Road to Screven Fork Road. To see a map of this area click on the link below. Connection to the system is mandatory for new construction occurring within 200 feet of service availability.

How Do I get connected?

To sign up for water residents should come to the Board of Commissioners office located at 112 North Main Street, Hinesville (Courthouse Annex) second floor, Room 2200.  You must complete an application for service and pay the required establishment fees in order to activate your account. You must have a current photo ID in order to establish your account.

What does it cost?

You will be required to pay an initial account establishment fee of $75.00 which is non-refundable. This fee allows for one (1) residential connection to the system and one meter. The cost of service lines to the residence and their installation is the responsibility of the homeowner. For a complete list of fees and rates please click the link below. Customers are billed on a monthly basis.
