  IN AN EMERGENCY, DIAL 9-1-1

 

A fully consolidated, enhanced 9-1-1 (E9-1-1) center, LCPSC answers and dispatches all emergency and non-emergency calls for service (law enforcement, fire and EMS) with in the county. 

Annually the communications department answers about 55,000 9-1-1 calls generating between 120,000 and 130,000 calls for service. The communications center is staffed 24 hours a day by a Communications Supervisor and as many as five Communications Officers. 

The administrative staff includes Training Coordinator Brit Cortes, Assistant Director Erica Smith and Director Tom Wahl.

 

Mission Statement

To, with the highest level of professionalism and accuracy, aid and assist in the rapid collection, exchange and dissemination of information related to law enforcement, fire, and medical emergencies, as well as other vital public safety functions.

To serve as the communications link between the public safety agencies of, and the citizens of and visitors to Liberty County Georgia.

To accurately identify the citizenry’s location and public safety response needs.

To provide fast and accurate activation of public safety services.

To provide communications support and coordination for all public safety agencies.
